About Us

Pat Freeze has been advocating for students and their families since 2014. She brings a broad range of experience to educational advocacy, including many years working as a litigation paralegal before becoming a full-time advocate. That background helped develop the research, documentation, and procedural skills that are often critical in complex special education matters.

Pat earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Houston. She also completed the alternative teacher certification program at College of the Mainland, focusing on English Language Arts and Reading for grades 4–8.

Pat received formal advocacy training through the Institute of Special Education Advocacy (ISEA) at William & Mary Law School and has completed extensive professional training through the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates. She was a co-presenter at the 2021 COPAA national conference, presenting From the Trenches: Tips for Parents and Advocates on the Most Contentious Areas of an IEP Meeting and Effective Strategies for Avoiding and Addressing Points of Disagreement.

Pat is a member of COPAA and TOPAA and follows the COPAA Voluntary Code of Ethics.

In addition to advocating for families across Texas, Pat is also the proud grandmother of grandchildren with special needs. Her personal experience advocating for them gives her a deep understanding of the challenges many parents face when navigating the special education system.

Pat believes that informed parents are powerful advocates for their children, and she considers it a privilege to work alongside families as they navigate the ARD/IEP process.

Jordan Chapman is an education advocate who works with families to navigate the special education process and secure appropriate services for their children. She works with parents who feel overwhelmed by ARD/IEP meetings, uncertain about their child’s evaluations, or unsure how to advocate effectively within the school system.

Her advocacy is grounded in both professional training and personal experience as the parent of a child with autism.

Jordan is the mother of two young daughters, Cora and Marcie. Her older daughter, Cora, is on the autism spectrum and currently receives intensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Through early intervention and consistent support, Cora has made tremendous progress and is preparing to begin pre-kindergarten this fall. Jordan’s experience advocating for her daughter sparked her passion for helping other families understand their rights and navigate the special education system effectively.

Jordan studied Secondary Education and is a registered behavioral therapist, bringing both educational training and practical experience in behavioral supports and intervention strategies. She assists families with understanding evaluations, preparing for ARD/IEP meetings, addressing behavioral supports and services, and ensuring that students receive individualized educational programming that meets their needs.

Jordan trained under experienced advocates Pat Freeze and Louis Geigerman and continues to work closely with the Pat Freeze Advocacy team to support families. She is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates and the Texas Organization of Parents and Attorneys of Advocates.

Jordan believes that informed and supported parents are powerful advocates for their children. She is committed to helping families understand the special education process, communicate effectively with schools, and ensure that students receive the services and supports they need to succeed.

When she is not working with families, Jordan enjoys spending time with her daughters and two dogs, Delilah and Ponyo.
